Zajac Ranch Society
Zajac Ranch is a long standing client of Shaw Sabey and we were delighted to increase our support of their commendable work by making a holiday donation this year on behalf of the entire Shaw Sabey staff.
Each year, the Zajac Ranch for Children hosts hundreds of children with serious and chronic illnesses and disabilities who might not otherwise have a chance to enjoy a summer camp experience.
Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC)
The Relay for Life is a 12 hour walk/run for cancer, which provides a positive and heartwarming experience celebrating survivors and remembering loved ones. The Candy Warriors team was formed in 2005 to honour and support a co-worker battling cancer.
It was in 2009 that Candy Warriors joined forces with WICC in hopes of making a stronger imprint in the fight against cancer, which has allowed us to expand our fundraising efforts. Our team “WICC-Candy Warriors” is proud to continue its fight and support against Cancer.
Alzheimer society of BC
1 in 11 Canadians over the age of 65 currently has Alzheimer’s disease. The Alzheimer’s Society of BC is dedicated to helping anyone concerned with or facing dementia have the confidence and skills to maintain quality of life, to ensuring that public policy and perceptions reflect the issues and reality, and to securing funding for support and research.
Blue Wave
Blue Wave is a youth oriented organization that brings mental health issues to the forefront. Encouraging youth to identify, discuss and bring change towards their feelings through their artistic talents; creating community and promoting creativity.
Casual Fridays
For over 15 years, Shaw Sabey employees have participated in our Jeans Day Program donating over $30,000 to local charities. Employees are encouraged to support casual Fridays. Those that wish to participate contribute a donation per pay period. At the close of every year, staff members chose where they would like to send their donations. This year we are pleased to have supported:
